William C Weese MD is a native of Chicago, received his B. S. Degree from the University of Michigan and his M.D. Degree from the University of Chicago (where he and David Cook were best friends and roommates). After serving in private practice specializing in pulmonary diseases and internal medicine for 27 years, he transitioned to an 11-year career as a medical director of one of the national divisions of United HealthCare.
After retirement, he has remained active on non-profit boards and the study and collection of Chinese ceramics. He is a past President of the Medical History Society of Arizona, the Arizona Thoracic Society, the Arizona Lung Association, the Arizona Geriatrics Society, the Osler Club of Phoenix, and Liberty Wildlife.
His interest in medical history of the United States Presidents and Vice-Presidents was kindled during medical school. He has often spoken on the subject. The topic of this evening’s presentation is “Lesser Known history of Presidents of the United States. What You Didn’t Learn in High School and College.”
