Guest Night Details
Our 2014 Guest Night speaker is Jim Van Bochove, the Director of Workforce Development at the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn, Michigan. Jim has been associated with almost every aspect of the guest experience during his thirty years at the museum. In his current role, Jim leads institutional efforts in staff recruitment, training, communication, and care and is committed to “Creating & Sustaining Engaging Workplaces.”
A graduate of Lawrence University, (BA, History) and the Cooperstown Graduate Programs (MA, History Museum Studies), Jim continues to seek out new learning opportunities focused on providing superior customer service, outstanding teamwork, and awesome leadership.
Jim is personally committed to living a life of Extreme Enthusiasm! Jim’s philosophy of Extreme Enthusiasm is central to his presentations and programs for staff at the museum and at other museums, universities, libraries, professional associations and corporations from Atlanta to Boston
and Cooperstown to Santa Barbara. Recognized around the world by his unique laugh, Regis Philbin says of Jim, “What an upper!”
